What is "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK)?
BYOK means you use your own OpenAI API key to power the AI. You pay OpenAI directly for usage (typically fractions of a cent per form fill), and we charge $0. Your key is stored locally and securely encrypted — we never see it.
Is the extension truly free?
Yes. The extension is entirely free to download and use. Your only cost is the API usage billed directly to your OpenAI account. There are no subscriptions or hidden fees.
How much will the API usage cost me?
The cost per form depends on the AI mode you use (Fast vs. Thinking) and the length of the form. On average, a standard form costs less than $0.01. You can always set hard limits in your OpenAI dashboard to avoid surprises.
